Registration for the European Public Health Conference opens on 1 April – and we look forward to welcoming you to Europe’s leading public health event. Each year, the EPH Conference brings together an inspiring community of researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and professionals from across Europe and beyond to connect, exchange ideas, and shape the future of public health together.

Interest in the conference is always high, and places are limited. In previous years, registration has closed early once capacity was reached. To avoid disappointment and secure your place in Bilbao, we warmly encourage you to register as soon as registration opens.

A 4 step plan for succesfull registration

Please read the following procedure carefully:

Registering for the EPH Conference is straightforward and can be completed in four simple steps. Below you will find an overview of the registration process and what to expect. We recommend having your details ready and taking a few minutes to complete your registration carefully.

1. Verification of user details

We work in collaboration with the European Public Health Association (EUPHA), and the EUPHA database is used during the registration process. If you already have a EUPHA or EPH Conference account, please log in using your existing credentials – this will significantly shorten the time needed to complete your registration. In your account click on ‘2026 EPH Conference registration‘

Important – please read carefully:
If you have submitted an abstract or are involved in a workshop submission, you must register using the same email address that was used for the abstract submission. This is essential to correctly link your registration to your abstract or workshop participation.

2. Choice of registration options

In the main registration form, you can select your registration category and any additional conference options where applicable. The system will automatically calculate the total registration fee based on your selections.

EUPHA members must ensure their membership is active and their EUPHA account is up to date before creating a registration account. The reduced member rate cannot be applied after the registration account has been created.

3. Payment

Payments can be made by credit card or bank transfer (via invoice).

4. Confirmation

Once your registration has been processed you will be given confirmation and invoice by email.

EPH Conference registration fees are inclusive 21% Spanish VAT.

Social programme

Join us in Bilbao for two memorable social events designed to connect, inspire and celebrate our public health community.

On 11 November, we warmly welcome all delegates to the Welcome Reception at the beautiful Azkuna Zentroa. This informal gathering offers the perfect opportunity to meet colleagues from across Europe and beyond in a relaxed and inspiring setting. The Welcome Reception is free of charge, but registration is required.

On 12 November, we invite you to a truly special Social Evening at the iconic Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. For one exclusive evening, the museum will be opened especially for EPH Conference delegates. Surrounded by world-renowned art and architecture, enjoy an unforgettable night of food, drinks and dancing in a unique cultural setting. Pricing for this exclusive event is set at 70 Euro. Registration is required.

Student registration

Students full-time enrolled in a college or university can register as a student for the reduced rate. Proof of status from the Registrar’s office verifying full-time status is required to process your application. Please upload your proof of full-time student status during registration.

Part-time students, post doctoral and PhD candidates with an income, and others who cannot meet the above requirements are NOT eligible for the discounted student rate.

Pre-conference registration

If you wish to attend a pre-conference you have to be registered. If you wish to attend a pre-conference, but not the main conference, please use the online registration and click: ‘pre-conference only’ to register. It is not possible to register for a free-of-charge pre-conference only.

Changes in your registration

If you wish to change your registration, please contact the please contact the EPH registrations team directly via the contactpage below to have the change made.

Are travel grants available?

No. Travel grants are not available.

Can I attend virtually?

No, this is an in-person conference only. It is not possible to attend the conference online.

How are abstracts selected?

Abstracts are scored by the International Scientific Committee, and acceptance is based on the average score.

How do I submit an abstract?

You can submit your abstract through the online submission system available on the conference website. The system closes on 1 May at 18.00 CET, after which you will no longer be able to submit your abstract for the 19th edition of the EPH Conference.

When is next year's conference?

The 20th edition of the EPH Conference will take place in Belgrade, Serbia from 16 – 19 November 2027.
