Abstract decisions

198 members of the International Scientific Committee (ISC) reviewed the submissions on a scale of 1 to 7. On average, 4.56 reviewers scored single abstracts and 4.96 reviewers scored workshop proposals.

Single abstracts

All single abstracts were reviewed and scored on the basis of the following criteria:

· Does the abstract follow the structure/content suggested in the guidelines?

· Is the subject matter appropriate for the Conference?

· Is the information internationally relevant?

· Is it innovative and of importance?

· If applicable, is the design of the study appropriate and clear?

· Is the methodology adequate or sufficient to support conclusions?

· Do data adequately or sufficiently offer support for conclusions?

· Are the results adequately summarised?

· Is the overall quality (coherence, spelling and understanding of the text) of the abstract good?

Single abstracts were accepted based on average and standard devaition scores from the International Scientific Committee, alongside author presentation preferences:

• Oral presentations (8-minute presentation) average score of 5.500, standard deviation 1.000 or higher
• Pitch presentations (5-minute presentation) average score of 5.200, standard deviation 1.095 or higher
• E-Poster walks (3-minute presentation) average score of 5.000, standard deviation 1.000 or higher
• E-Poster displays (throughout the programme) average score of 4.200 or higher

Workshops

All submitted proposals were reviewed and scored on the basis of the following criteria:

· Does the submission follow the structure/content suggested in the guidelines?

· Is the information new enough and innovative?

· Is the subject matter interesting and relevant for the EPH Conference and international audience? (What is already known on this topic? What this workshop adds?)

· Are the workshop objectives clearly defined?

· Will the workshop stimulate thought or debate?

· Is there a well elaborated format for interaction and participant involvement?

· Is the workshop a collaboration between various organisations/institutes/European countries or EUPHA sections?

· Is the overall quality of the abstract high or excellent?

Workshops scoring 5.200, standard deviation 0.447 or higher are accepted.

Following the success of the PechaKucha track in 2024 and 2025, this format will again be offered in 2026.

What happens next?

1. Corrections

The system accepts corrections until 15 July 2026 with no extention of the deadline.

2. Registration and confirmation

All presenting authors, speakers and chairs must register for the conference by 15 July 2026.

If you do not register by the deadline, your abstract will be withdrawn from the conference programme and the Abstract Supplement of the European Journal of Public Health.
