Organise a pre-conference at the European Public Health Conference
Each year, on the day preceding the main European Public Health (EPH) Conference, a series of half-day and full-day pre-conferences are organised. These sessions provide a focused environment for in-depth exchange, capacity building, networking and strategic discussion on specific public health topics.
Traditionally, pre-conferences have been organised by EUPHA sections and selected partner organisations. As the EPH Conference continues to grow, we are exploring opportunities to collaborate with a broader range of organisations, institutes and networks that wish to contribute to the scientific exchange within the European public health community.
Why organise a pre-conference?
Organising a pre-conference offers the opportunity to:
- convene experts and stakeholders around a specialised theme
- provide training, workshops or strategic discussions
- strengthen networks and partnerships
- contribute to the scientific programme of Europe’s leading public health conference
- engage directly with an international audience of public health professionals
Why organise a pre-conference?
Pre-conference organisers are responsible for:
- developing and delivering the scientific programme
- coordinating speakers and content
- providing programme information and updates within the required timelines
Half or full-day pre-conference?
Pre-conferences are held in person at the conference venue and can be organised as:
- half-day sessions (morning or afternoon), or
- full-day sessions
Capacity is limited, and the number of available time slots and rooms is restricted. Pre-conferences are therefore selected based on relevance, quality, and alignment with the conference themes and the broader EPH Conference programme.
Participation fees can be found here and cost arrangements follow the standard EPH Conference pre-conference framework.
Expression of interest
If your organisation is interested in organising a pre-conference, we invite you to submit an expression of interest by 10 May outlining:
- proposed title and topic
- objectives and target audience
- organising institution(s)
- proposed format (half-day or full-day)
Due to limited capacity, submission of an expression of interest does not guarantee acceptance.
