How to navigate the EPH Conference programme
Finding your way around the EPH Conference is not always easy. In addition to the plenary sessions and lunch symposia, the scientific programme includes more than 2,200 presentations, delivered through 555 parallel sessions (workshops, oral presentations, pitch sessions and Pecha Kucha sessions), 345 Poster Walk presentations, and 1,370 posters. On this page you can find a short explanation of the different presentation formats.
Parallel sessions
The scientific programme is organised into 16 conference tracks, each covering a specific area of public health. Sessions are grouped by topic to create coherent scientific discussions and include workshops, oral presentation sessions, pitch presentation sessions and Pecha Kucha sessions.
All workshops, oral and pitch sessions last 60 minutes. Oral sessions include five presentations around a shared theme, while pitch sessions feature eight presentations. All sessions are chaired by experienced moderators.
The Pecha Kucha sessions offer a more dynamic presentation format. Each session consists of several short, highly visual presentations following the EPH Conference 15×15 format, where presenters use 15 slides displayed for 15 seconds each. This fast-paced format encourages concise storytelling and lively discussion while showcasing a broad range of innovative public health research and practice.
Poster Walks
The conference features 345 presentations in the Poster Walk programme, organised across Tracks R and S. Each Poster Walk session consists of 10–15 poster presentations grouped around a common theme. During these interactive 60-minute sessions, presenters briefly introduce their work before engaging in discussion with delegates under the guidance of an experienced moderator.
In addition, all 1,370 accepted posters are available digitally at the conference. Delegates can browse posters at any time on the large interactive screens located in the dedicated poster area, where you can search by topic, presenter or keyword.
Pecha Kucha sessions
The programme includes 40 Pecha Kucha sessions, each lasting 25 minutes. This fast-paced presentation format focuses on visual storytelling, with presenters using the EPH Conference 15×15 format: 15 slides, each displayed automatically for 15 seconds. The automatic progression keeps presentations concise, engaging and on schedule. Pecha Kucha sessions take place in Tracks X and Y.
Conference tracks
The scientific programme is organised into 16 thematic conference tracks (A–Q, excluding J). In addition, Tracks R and S are dedicated to the Poster Walks, while Tracks X and Y host the Pecha Kucha sessions.

Navigating the online programme
The online programme provides a complete overview of the 19th European Public Health Conference and is designed to make planning your conference experience as easy as possible.
The main programme is displayed per conference day in the familiar timetable format that will also be used onsite in Bilbao. This allows you to quickly see which sessions are taking place at the same time and in which conference track.
By clicking on any session block, the programme will expand to display the session details, including the presentations and abstracts included in that session.
To explore the full programme, please note that you can scroll both horizontally and vertically. Horizontal scrolling allows you to navigate between the different conference tracks, while vertical scrolling takes you through the programme throughout the day.
The online programme also includes all pre-conferences, making it possible to view the complete conference programme in one place.
Using the navigation menu, you can also browse the programme by presentation format, including:
- Workshops
- Oral presentation sessions
- Pitch presentation sessions
- Pecha Kucha sessions
- Poster Walks
- E-posters
The e-poster collection can be explored separately and is organised by theme, making it easy to find posters related to your area of interest.
The EPH Conference App will be available from October, allowing delegates to create a personalised conference programme and easily keep track of the sessions they wish to attend.
