When is next year's conference?

The 20th edition of the EPH Conference will take place in Belgrade, Serbia from 16 – 19 November 2027.

Are travel grants available?

No. Travel grants are not available.

Can I attend virtually?

No, this is an in-person conference only. It is not possible to attend the conference online.

Is the conference only open for EUPHA members?

No, the conference welcomes both EUPHA members and non-members.

Do I need an accepted abstract to attend the conference?

No, you are welcome to attend the conference regardless of whether you have submitted an abstract or had one accepted.

What are the opening hours to collect my badge?

Tuesday 10 November: 08:00 – 18:00
Wednesday 11 November: 08:00 – 18:00
Thursday 12 November: 08:00 – 18:00
Friday 13 November: 08:00 – 14:00

Will I receive a certificate of attendance?

Yes, your certificate of attendance will be sent by email within two weeks after the conference. Please check your spam folder if you don’t see it.

Is the 19th EPH Conference accredited?

Accreditation arrangements will be confirmed in due course.

When do I need to be in my session room?

Be in the room 10 minutes before the session starts to meet the chair and fellow presenters.

Where is the conference being held this year?

The 19th edition of the EPH Conference will be held at the Euskalduna Conference Centre, Abandoibarra Etorbidea 4, 48011 Bilbao, Bizkaia, Spain.

What is the Ethical MedTech CVS status of the 19th EPH Conference?

The 19th edition of the European Public Health Conference has been submitted to the Ethical MedTech Conference Vetting System (CVS/e4ethics) and is to be reviewed (EMT Reference: EMT-26-09882) according to the MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice.

Abstract submission

I cannot proceed with submitting an abstract because the system requires an affiliation number.

The affiliation number corresponds to the affiliations you add below the author. You may add up to three affiliations per author, and the affiliation number will range from 1 to 3.

How do I submit an abstract?

You can submit your abstract through the online submission system available on the conference website. The system closes on 1 May at 18.00 CET, after which you will no longer be able to submit your abstract for the 19th edition of the EPH Conference.

I haven’t received confirmation after submitting my abstract.

First, check your spam folder. Submitted abstracts are also visible in your account. If you didn’t receive a confirmation email and the abstract isn’t in your account, your submission failed.

Programme

Will I be able to present virtually at the Conference?

No, the Bilbao 2026 Conference will be in-person only.

If I chose the poster presentation as my first option, why couldn’t I choose oral presentation as my second option?

Presentation options are hierarchical (oral > pitch > poster > withdraw). If you choose oral as your first option, your second choice may be pitch, poster, or withdraw. However, if your first choice is poster, the only second option available is withdraw.

Why aren’t co-authors listed in the programme?

The conference programme only shows presenters. Co-authors appear in the published Abstract Supplement.
