The Institute of Public Health in Ireland with the Faculty of Public Health Medicine will host a pre-conference focused on the past, present and future of public health in Ireland, North and South. The event will include presentations and contributions on a number of subject areas including epidemiology, health inequalities and leadership in public health on the island of Ireland.

'Keep schools open – minimal transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in the school setting in Ireland during the 2020-2021 school year' presented by Dr Ciara Kelly.

'Travel in the time of Covid Development of a Public Health Approach and Risk Methodology for Informing Travel Policy' presented by Dr Louise Hendrick.

Presentations will be followed by the announcement of the winner of the Jacqueline Horgan Medal
