Support to EPH Conference delegates

EPH Conference Foundation and the European Public Health Association (EUPHA) offer various types of support to delegates of the EPH Conferences.

  • Do you need help with your abstract?
  • Do you need financial support?
  • Would you like to win an honorable prize?

Abstract Tutoring Programme

EUPHAnxt provides an Abstract Tutoring Programme offering an opportunity for young and/or less experienced abstract submitters to receive feedback from experienced reviewers. The programme is especially targeted at researchers who have limited access to colleagues to ask for guidance and comments on their proposed abstracts. The programme is completely independent of the abstract review and selection process. Experienced reviewers from the International Scientific Committee and EUPHA Sections will act as tutors. They will provide one-time, anonymous feedback on the writing and format of an abstract. They are not asked to provide advice on research methods, analysis, or the report of results. They do not correct spelling and grammar.

The Abstract Tutoring Programme is open from 1 February to 9 April each year. Instructions will be announced on the EPH Conference website.

Jouke van der Zee Fund

For many years, the European Public Health Association and the EPH Conference Foundation have been supporting participants from low- and middle-income countries financially. To make the support more sustainable, both organizations have set up a fund for this in 2020. The Jouke van der Zee Fund generously offers waivers of registration fees to delegates to attend and present their latest research at the annual EPH Conference.

Prof Dr Jouke van der Zee was one of the founding members of EUPHA in 1992 and initiator of the first European Public Health Conference. Over the years, Prof van der Zee and his institute – NIVEL – generously supported the EUPHA office and the EUPHA conference, as the EPH Conference was known at the time.

To apply for support from the Jouke van der Zee Fund, delegates must follow the application instructions announced annually on the EPH Conference website.
