Mary Codd

Associate Professor, School of Public Health Physiotherapy and Sports Science, University College Dublin, Ireland

Mary Codd is Associate Dean of Public Health and Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science (SPHPSS), University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland. She is director of the Master of Public Health programme and of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programme, Europubhealth, at UCD.  Mary has vast experience as a teacher, supervisor and researcher in public health with international teaching accolades, over 370 publications and Google Scholar h-index of 45.  As a member of the Executive Board of ASPHER, Mary was project scientific lead of the ECDC Core Competencies in Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology (2020-22) and now leads of the ASPHER Core Curriculum Programme for Public Health (2022-present). Along with colleagues at SPHPSS, Mary hosted the annual ASPHER Deans' and Directors' Retreat in August 2023.
