John Cuddihy

Director of Public Health, Health Service Executive, Ireland

Dr John Cuddihy is National Director of Public Health at Health Service Executive, Ireland. John Cuddihy graduated from University College Cork, Ireland, and served as a member of the public health team in HSE South East for many years. He has been involved in public health reform in Ireland in leading the implementation of the Public Health Reform Programme. He has previously held positions as Director of Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) and National Clinical Director of Health Protection. More recently John Cuddihy was visible as a key member of the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) for Covid-19, He will continue as a member of the revised advisory group set up to replace NPHET.
