George Kassianos

Dr George Kassianos is a Family Doctor, the National Immunisation Lead of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), and President British Global & Travel Health Association (BGTHA). Fellow of the RCGP, BGTHA, Faculty of Travel Medicine Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons Glasgow, and the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM).

Member of the Public Health England (PHE) Advisory Committee on Malaria Prevention 2004-2018, PHE UK Advisory Panel on Healthcare Workers Infected with Bloodborn Viruses, and Expert Panel of the British Polio Fellowship.

He chairs RAISE, a Pan-European Group (20 countries) on Influenza and is Board Director of the European Scientific Working Group on Influenza (ESWI). He has edited four medical journals, sits on the editorial board of seven journals, and is Associate Editor of ‘Drugs In Context’ international journal. He has published widely on vaccine research, travel medicine, and currently preparing the 5th edition of his book on Immunisation & Travel Medicine.
