Fatai Ogunlayi

Fatai Ogunlayi is a public health specialist registrar with the UK Faculty of Public health (FPH) and UK Health Security Agency. He has a background in quality improvement and health inequality agenda with national, regional and local experience in healthcare organisation, local government and academia. He also has an interest in public health workforce development (globally and nationally) and is currently supporting efforts by WHO and partner organisations in the development and implementation of a public health workforce strategy. Fatai chairs the UK Specialty Registrar Committee for the FPH, he is a member of the FPH Global Health Committee and a co-opted member of the FPH Board and Executive Committee.  He has an honorary fellowship with Warwick Medical School where he has a teaching and a research portfolio. In 2021, he was awarded the FPH Presidential medal for outstanding contribution to public health in the United Kingdom.
