Eva Vrščaj

Eva Vrščaj was born in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia. In 2012, she started studying medicine in 2012 at Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. In 2015, she became a part of the Slovenian Medical Students’ International Committee and was one of the founding members of Project Immuno. A year later Eva became the coordinator of the project and together with its members expanded their actions and became very active across Slovenia and in Europe. At the time of her leadership, the project won the European Commission Health Award 2017 for NGOs. Because of the project’s visibility and success, she has become a major advocate of vaccination. Eva is also a part of the working group at the Ministry of Health, Slovenia, which is working on changing the law on vaccination and communicable diseases. In the framework of amending the law, she participated in parliamentary sessions and defended the importance of amending the law. She will be starting her ultimate year of medical school in the fall and after the graduation plans to pursue a career as pediatrician.
