Charlotte Marchandise

Charlotte Marchandise is Elected member of the City Council of Rennes, France, and delegate for health and environment since March 2014. She was elected as an independent candidate without the backing of as political party. Previously, she worked as consultant/trainer in the field of public health, social work, education and environment. She was elected in September 2014 to the presidency of the French Network of Healthy Cities of WHO. Through this network, action was launched for municipal health policies, fighting against social inequalities in health and making the voice of local actors heard at national level. Her leading principle is working together on common projects by all political parties. In 2016, she was elected president of LaPrimaire.org, the primary citizen movement on the internet. LaPrimaire.org organizes open primaries, independent of the political parties, to allow French citizens a free, transparent and democratic choice from candidates they wish to run for public elections.
