Charles Agyemang is Professor of Global Migration, Ethnicity and Health, Amsterdam University Medical Centres, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands and Adjunct Professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, USA. He is currently the Vice President of the EUPHA Migrant health section, Secretary of EUPHA’s Executive Council,  Scientific Chair of the Global Society of Migration, Ethnicity, Race & Health; member of the US National Academy of Medicine, European Academy, member of The Lancet Racial Equality Advisory Board, and WHO’s taskforce on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in migrants. His research is focused on ethnic inequalities in health and NCDs in LMICs. He is the project lead of European Commission funded projects such as RODAM, Pros-RODAM, and Generation-H studies. He is a highly productive scholar with over 400 research articles, reviews and book chapters. He serves as a member on several scientific advisory boards. He is Section Editor for Journal of the American Heart Association (JAHA), an Associate Editor for Internal and Emergency Medicine, and serves as Guest Editor and Editorial Board member for several journals.
