Policy & Engagement Director, Bite Back 2030

Caroline is responsible for Bite Back’s policy positions, research outputs and engagement with government and corporate stakeholders. She joined Bite Back in 2022, after working closely with the team and seeing the power of youth voices in garnering political attention. In her previous role at the Obesity Health Alliance (OHA), United Kingdom, she led a coalition of over 40 health-focused NGOs, running policy development and advocacy strategies to campaign for and secure significant policy change including the soft drink industry levy and stronger restrictions on unhealthy food advertising on TV and online. Caroline has acted as expert advisor to Public Health England’s Obesity Reference Group and given oral evidence to the Health Select Committee Inquiries on child obesity. She was an advisor to the WHO Europe’s Obesity Report 2022 and has co-authored peer reviewed papers on unhealthy food advertising and obesity policy. She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health from King’s College London, United Kingdom.
