Barbara Häsler, Professor in Agrihealth, is a researcher and teacher at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London, United Kingdom, with an undergraduate degree in veterinary medicine and postgraduate degrees in veterinary epidemiology, economics and education. Her expertise spans One Health, economics, evaluation, surveillance, and livestock food systems. From 2014-208, she led the EU COST funded Network for the Evaluation of One Health (NEOH), which later became the European Chapter of Ecohealth International. She has an interest in the economics of One Health and has contributed multiple publications on that topic. Her expertise has been requested in various consultancy functions with NGOs, industry, SMEs, and international organisations. She has published her work in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, lay magazines, and at conferences and is currently editing an entry-level text book for One Health. In her educational work, she is promoting One Health competencies including systems thinking.
