Mojca Gabrijelčič Blenkuš

Mojca Gabrijelčič Blenkuš is a medical doctor and specialist in public health. She has a PhD in social sciences. Her fields of interest and expertise are nutrition, physical activity, and in last few years, ageing and frailty, with a special focus on health inequalities. From 2003 until 2010, she headed the Health Promotion Centre at the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ), Slovenia. Today, she is mostly involved in policy and programme development, and in research projects. Her main academic interest is in public policies; she holds assistant professorship at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, where she teaches health promotion theory and Health in All Policies. Since 2000, she has acted as WHO national counterpart for nutrition and she has been actively involved in the work of different WHO action networks. At EU level, she participates in the work of the High Level Group on nutrition and physical activity. She has been elected as President of EuroHealthNet in 2018.
