Celebrate the world of food
Join us for a social evening at the Arminiusmarkthalle in the multicultural neighbourhood of Moabit, Berlin. This year no seated dinner or buffet but a festival of world food where you walk past the different market stalls to put together your meal. There is plenty of room afterwards to sit down and enjoy your food while meeting colleagues and friends.
There are different market stalls where you can go to and get your food. The farm shop serves German and Austrian cuisine: sausages, schnitzel, Kässpätzle and goulash. To match we serve a selection of regional wines in the living room bar. The beer comes from Berlin breweries. Fans of American cuisine can get their food at the BBQ stall. Burgers and spare ribs are served with fresh coleslaw and creamed corn. There is tarte flambée, fresh from the oven, fish & chips and other seafood from the fish stall and there is a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
The Arminiusmarkthalle was opened in 1891 as a daily food market in Berlin Mitte/Moabit. The market gave the up-and-coming district a modern shopping area. In 2010, the market hall was revitalized and now serves as a popular market hall during day time and a lively place for social events in the evenings. The hall combines nostalgia and tradition with fashionable gastronomy that values quality and sustainability.
The Armeniusmarkthalle is the ideal event location for networking evenings.
The Festival of World Food can be booked at €65. Doors open at 19:30 CET, food courts open at 20:00 CET. From 22:00 CET until midnight the market hall is open to the general public (free entry). You can book your place at the festival together with your registration for the main conference or add it to your existing registration.
