Celebrate the world of food
Join us for a social evening at the Arminiusmarkthalle in the multicultural neighbourhood of Moabit, Berlin. This year no seated dinner or buffet but a festival of world food where you walk past the various market stalls to put together your meal. There is ample seating space to enjoy your food while meeting colleagues and friends.
The Arminiusmarkthalle was opened in 1891 as a daily food market in Berlin Mitte/Moabit. The market gave the then up-and-coming district a modern shopping area. In 2010, the market hall was revitalized and now serves as a popular market hall during day time and a lively place for social events in the evenings. The hall combines nostalgia and tradition with fashionable gastronomy that values quality and sustainability.
There are different market stalls where you can go to and get your food. The farm shop serves Original Berlin Curried Sausage, Rich Steamy Goulash and Traditional Schnitzel with home made potato salads. Fans of American cuisine can get Deluxe Burger with Salads and home-made Chutney, Pulled Pork Sandwich or Pulled Smoked Chicken with Coleslaw. From the UK, there is Original London Style Fish&Chips. From Asia, a Tasty Wok Dish with Seafood is served.
Vegetarians will like the Kässpätzle Traditional Cheesy Pasta with Onions and Mountain Cheese or the Vegetarian Burger with Salads and home-made Chutney.
Vegans may go for the Gnocchi on a light Riesling-Soy-Sauce with Beet Root, Apples and Roasted Almonds or Smoked Red Pepper and Tomato Soup.
As a side dish there are Cheese, Ham, Bread Bites from the market stands.
To match we serve a selection of regional wines: "White Edition" Pinot Blanc and "Black Edition" Cuvée Prestige from Weingut Dr. Heigel, Zeil am Main, Germany. The beer comes from Berlin breweries: Kreuzberger Tag (light Pils), Kreuzberger Nacht (dark, malty beer).

The Festival of World Food is fully booked. Doors open at 19:30 CET, food courts open at 20:00 CET. From 22:00 CET until midnight the market hall is open to the general public (free entry).
