Lunch symposium: Avoiding future Respiratory Tripledemics: what do we need to do collectively in Europe?
Thursday 14 November, 12:55 – 13:55 (Lisbon time)
Organised by:
Sanofi
Background
Respiratory health challenges are growing globally, fuelled by both emerging health crises and the impact of climate change.
By reducing the burden of respiratory diseases, innovations like novel tools against asthma and chronic lung diseases (COPD) or against agents of respiratory infection, like Respiratory Syncytial Virus (bronchiolitis), Covid-19, influenza virus or Bordetella Pertussis, can lessen healthcare demand and minimize environmental impact.
This symposium will highlight the crucial need for Europe to integrate respiratory health innovation with environmental sustainability. By prioritizing the adoption of innovative solutions, Europe can make a significant contribution to both public and planetary health.
